Spring is here, the daffodils and tulips are blooming and it won’t be long before we have to start mowing grass and planting gardens.
Busy season at the Post as well, we have Post cleanup day coming in April, district meeting in May and lots of events in between.

Spring is near, winter is heading out! Be watching the Message Board in the Legion for upcoming spring and summer events, especially the Texas Holdem Tournament coming the March 24th.

Dear Members,
I hope everyone is staying warm and dry, crazy Indiana weather.
SAL pizza night was a huge success in January, as well as steak and catfish.
The broasted chicken dinner, and prime rib dinner was well attended, thank you all that volunteered, and DeeDee who works tirelessly day after day.

Well, 2018 is now behind us. As we look to the future of Post 79, we hope everyone is looking forward to a better and more prosperous year. But to do that, we need help from everyone.

Well, the last month of the year is upon us. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to a blessed Christmas season. Want to thank each and everyone of you that have made 2018 a great year at the Legion. All the officers, managers, staff and numerous volunteers, we could not have done it without each one of you helping out. We do have a great Legion. Makes us proud to say we are members of Post 79.

Another month behind us and now the holidays are staring us in the face. Where has time gone?
I would like to thank all the volunteers that showed up on post clean-up day, a lot was accomplished, and couldn’t have been done without our wonderful volunteers. Thanks again to each and everyone of you.

Summer is drawing to a close and we must look forward to the upcoming months. We have Veterans Day just around the corner, and winter coming up. A lot of preparations for both.

It’s Fall Festival month. This year’s theme is “Super Heroes”. Make sure you stop by the Legion to see the float. You won’t be disappointed.

July is behind us and with that we look back to see what the month had to offer. It offered celebration for the birth of our country, and it offered times for remembrance and honor of those who have given us the freedoms we enjoy today.
Dear Members,
Thank you for another good month at the Legion, the steak and catfish dinner was a crazy night. Thank you to the members and the community.
Speaking of community, I would like to offer our deepest condolences to LeighAnn from Akards Hardware on the tragic passing of her son. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.
